China introduced 3G first in 2009 and is the only country in the world that has adopted three different standards used around the world. By combining strategic insights and R&D investments with a well-planned localization approach Samsung is bound to reflect its leading position in the 3G arenas both in China and all over the world. Samsung invested significant amounts and resources to establish the Beijing Samsung Telecom R&D Center in China with a talent pool of hundreds of experts. This helped Samsung to lead in China ahead of its competitors. Samsung is continuing to introduce global leading products and launch more speacialized handset in models in the Chinese market.
